Take a red Dutch amaryllis and cross it with Sprekelia formosissima and this is what you get, a narrow petaled amaryllis that is hardy to z 7. The plants will form colonies over time and bloom reliably in late spring to early summer. Clumps can be in bloom for a month or more when mature. Plant in full sun with ample water in a free draining soil.
